The Community Council of Kaliana, within the frame of its attempts for qualitative improvement of the village, has already accomplished several projects over the last years. These have added to the enhancement of the village. Some of the most important are:

1. Demodernisation and preservation of the local Chani (serai).
2. Construction of a parking place near the central square of the village.
3. All the streets within the village are asphalts.
4. New roadways have been created.
5. Construction of traditional fountains (vrisses).
6. Several projects that add to the beauty of the village have been accomplished.
7. Trees and bush planting.
8. Constructions improving the community playing field.
9. Replacement of the water supply and distribution system in 2 phases.
